A World Divided is a six episode historical drama series based on true events seamlessly integrating never before seen archival footage with engrossing fictional drama. From Germany, Israel, and France to the US and USSR, the series follow the longings, dreams and struggles of six very different men and women whose destinies touch nexus of power: Wernher von Braun, Hedwig Hoess, Nikita Khrushchev, Joan Hinton, Golda Meir and Frantz Fanon. Their divergent desires and contradictions, both personal and political, crystallise the divisions and decisions that made history from World War II to the 1960s – when the world was divided intro East and West and the colonial order crumbled. Radically subjective, highly emotional and told from multiple perspectives, A World Divided forges a new transnational narrative from the history we thought we knew.
